The challenge was architecting the backend to handle asynchronous AI requests efficiently, ensuring the user interface remained responsive and real-time. Scoring Accuracy & Hallucination Mitigation: Calibrating the AI to consistently and accurately evaluate user submissions against strict IELTS grading rubrics required extensive prompt engineering and model evaluation to prevent hallucinations and eliminate grading bias. Complex State & Data Management: Managing state-heavy user sessions, tracking detailed progress metrics, and securely storing large volumes of practice data required a robust database design to ensure quick retrieval and seamless cross-platform syncing.
